Job Advertisement: Employee for Technical Service

The Assistive Technology Services are responsible for the operation of assistive technology for people with mobility impairments in the southern part of Stockholm County, as well as county-wide responsibility for individuals in need of consumable assistive devices at home, medical technical equipment at home, and communication, cognition, vision, and hearing aids.

Assistive Devices Stockholm supplies the southern part of the county.

At the Technical Service unit, we work with the maintenance of technical aids for people with functional variations. We are looking for a new employee for our retrieval team in Technical Service. You will be one of four working with the return management of returned assistive devices.

Job Responsibilities

• Return management with sorting work at the loading dock and deregistration
• Administration, planning, and preparation for reconditioning
• Register maintenance
• Some simpler reconditioning tasks such as ceiling lift components
• Dismantling accessories from assistive devices
• Scrapping of discarded items
• Handling of environmental fractions

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of upper secondary education with relevant orientation
• You have very good computer skills
• Good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel
• Swedish C1

The position involves daily tasks that are physically demanding, so it is a prerequisite that you have good physical fitness.

Technical competence is an advantage but not a requirement.

A six-month probationary period may be applied. The position will be filled provided that it does not need to be allocated for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:

• Register control will be applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register control during employment.
• Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
• In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
